A fun, interactive, family-friendly center all about the white sharks that call these waters home.
Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge

Cape Cod Rail Trail
A popular bike path running from Dennis to Provincetown. Access near Chatham via the Old Colony Trail, or park at Orleans Center Parking or Route 137 in Brewster. Many beaches are reachable from the trail.
Whale Watching
Day trips depart from Hyannis and Provincetown, typically around 4 hours. July is a great time to see whales around the Cape!
Charter a Fishing Boat
A wonderful way to spend a morning or afternoon on the water. Several local outfitters offer half-day trips.

Ferry to Nantucket
A wonderful day trip — catch the ferry from Hyannis for a few hours exploring Nantucket's charming streets, beaches, and shops. Book in advance in July!

Several great options in South Yarmouth and Dennis — a classic Cape Cod summer activity.
Scenic Drives
• Lecount Hollow to Ocean View Drive, Wellfleet — drive straight to the Beachcomber for lunch at the end
• Route 6A from Brewster to Sandwich — a picturesque stretch lined with historic homes, antique shops, and salt marshes
Towns Worth a Visit
• Brewster — lovely galleries, boutique shopping, and easy access to beautiful Bay-side beaches and the Rail Trail
• Wellfleet — galleries, waterfront views, live music, and great walking. Oysters are a must.
• Provincetown — galleries, restaurants, and bars. Climb the Pilgrim Monument for panoramic views and don't miss the dunes and Race Point Lighthouse.
• Woods Hole & Falmouth — a scenic waterfront and charming village streets at the southwestern end of the Cape.
Nauset Beach (Orleans)
Wide and open ocean. Strong waves and long expanses of space. Parking fee required.
Coast Guard Beach (Eastham)
A stunning beach with high dunes and an expansive view of marshes. Check out the nearby lighthouse! Parking fee required.
Marconi Beach (Wellfleet)
Beautiful views over dunes and hiking trails nearby. Parking fee required.
Skaket Beach (Brewster)
Calm, warm water with amazing tide pools at low tide. Check the tide charts for the best experience!
Mayflower Beach (Dennis)
Wide tidal flats and gentle conditions — perfect for families and young kids.
First Encounter Beach (Eastham)
Beautiful sunsets, excellent tide pool exploring at low tide, and lovely nearby marshes.
Parking at most beaches requires a day fee
Arriving early is always a good idea.
Bay-side beaches are best at low tide for tide pooling and perfect for sunset!

National Seashore beaches are home to seals (and sometimes sharks!). Check out the Sharktivity app to stay up to date on sightings.
Several beaches are reachable by bike along the Rail Trail
It can make a great day trip and help avoid parking.

Provincetown, Wellfleet, and Brewster all have thriving gallery scenes — a perfect rainy afternoon.
